Cellphones are so handy

No matter what all you return-to-nature, live-old-fashionedly, it-doesn't-matter-that-it's-more-efficient-just-don't-use-cellphones naysayers out there say, it really is quite a good thing to have a cellphone. Not only because you can call people and sit around waiting for people to call you, but because they have wonderful little tools such as a voice recorder, timer, calculator, and my three personal favorites, calendar, phonebook and alarm. These three tools make a very wonderful combination. For instance, my calendar read in my phonebook what day it was and went over to wake up the alarm so that it could alert me to the importance of the day. And let me just admit up front that yes, I do spend inordinate amounts of time filling in all the information about the hundreds of people in my phonebook. But, see, if I hadn't spent all that time filling in the information, I would most definitely have forgotten that today is...

Katie's birthday!!!!!

(oh look, she's already written a post about it.) And yes, that was the most incredibly round-about way to get to the point of this post, but hey, at least Katie knows that I didn't forget all about her birthday and then read about it from her blog.

Happy birthday, you chocolate-giving, Dr. Pepper guzzling, sodium-limiting thing, you! (Don't you love how all of my identifying adjectives are somehow food related?)

I wish I had more time to make this post clever and better written, but I don't, thanks to some un-named school teachers. Just know deep down in your little heart-of-hearts that I'd gladly spend hours and hours on a post about your birthday if I could. 'Cause that's how much I love you. Don't you feel special? :)

Love you, friend.

(I really, really, really, really, really, wanted to post a picture of Katie being terrified on a merry-go-round, but I couldn't find it. It's cute. No, really, Katie. It is. Hilariously cute. )

My dear, thanks so much. I love you bunches and bunches, (and you should be really glad you didn't find that awful picture of me. I hate it.)

Glad to call you my friend.
