Angelic Visitation of George Grant

18 years old.
Do you think 18 is old?
I don't.
I think it's pretty dang young.
Or at least, I thought it was until my teacher said something about a "palm pilot" and half the sophomores in my class went, "huh?"

Yes. You heard right. Palm pilots are dinosaurs. They're from the Stone Age.
And I remember them. Very clearly.

Suddenly, I feel very old. Like, I think I'm feeling some wrinkles appear on my face. Hang on, lemme check.
...yep. 4.

aaand, 18 is not old. "you're young, you're so young...you know my papa, he didn't make master tinker till he was 490."

i get all my life advice from elf. doesn't everyone?

Sheesh -- try remembering record players and mimeograph machines! ;-) Or better still, remembering when someone who is now 18 was born...

Of course, I remember when your mom was pregnant with Molly, so that makes me *really* old. She was my teacher still, and she got to eat cookies in class. Ah, the things you remember!

DUDE. I can top this. I HAD one.

How old AM I???

It was a cheap one I won in a contest, but still. I used it. I wasn't that young.

Dang.

Yeah, Luke is a freshman.

I VIVIDLY remember when palm pilots and blackberries were THE hot stuff. I mean, cutting edge.
